The Rose & Cross Society have followed him through the ages. He was NOT Vlad the Impaler, although he has a personal history with him.
In his lifetime the Count had been a “Renaissance man”, advisor to many kings throughout history and an alchemist. Then something changed him. Without warning he went to Scholomance, the school of dark magic. It is not known what corrupted him and turned him into a cold, calculating, blood-thristy monster. Leader of the Un-Dead, has been missing since 1944. |
Dr. Max Windshoeffel

High ranking member of the Rose & Cross Society. Very little is known about him privately. He has devoted his whole life and career to the study of the Un-Dead with a scientific eye (ie. determining that the ultraviolet radiation of ths sun inhibits the Un-Dead's power).

Dysis Harker
|
Student majoring in journalism with a minor in psychology. Aspires to be a writer someday. Her mother died when she was young and her father abandoned her. She has a lot of resentment and many emotional scars. Outspoken
yet level headed, her hobby is archery. She saved up her money to go on a trip to England for a week. She felt a connection to London and longs to go back. She is unaware of her family's past history in England. |
Judy Westenra
|
Best described as a freespirit, and loves to party. Raised by a wealthy family she has never had to work a day in her life and has never felt rejection. Though she gives the impression of having been spoiled she is quite insecure. Her best friend Dysis Harker seems to be the only person she can confide in.

Sybil Seward
|
Blind since birth, but has a 'second sight'. She is a practicing Wiccan, choosing a spiritual path of joy and potential. In tune with nature in a way most folks don't understand, she can also 'see' auras surrounding people.

Det. Kate Reed
|
A brilliant homicide detective, who is consumed by her work. She has had to fight the "double standard" to get to where she is. Has aspirations of becoming a Special Agent with the FBI and eventually join the Behavioral Analysis Unit. Unfortunately no positions have opened up.
There is a long line of insanity in her family, a fact that she has kept hidden from her friends and colleagues for years. |
Eric Holmwood

A youthful, outgoing, good humoured, witty art student and tech-geek. One of his hobbies is turning junk into furniture. Eric is completely unaware that he is a direct descendant of Lord Godalming.

Byron Westenra
|
Judy's father. Wealthy business man with political ambitions. Is a descendant of the 'distant branch of the family' mentioned in Chapter 13 of Bram Stoker's novel.

|
Sonar operator aboard the Dimitry, a privately-funded Russian-French joint expedition crew searching for sunken ships from World War II.

Owner of NOSFERATU a Goth Nightclub in New York City. His clients respect and fear him at the same time. Both the name of the club and his nickname are inspired from the 1922 silent film Nosferatu. No one knows Orlock's real name, not even the people who work for him.

Private Investigator. He grew up in a rough neighborhood and had to deal with racism to get to where he is. Used to work with Kate Reed before he resigned and started his own private practice working for Byron Westenra.
